If you’re using Zoom, you probably know that it’s one of the best tools out there for video conferencing. It’s easy to use, offers a ton of features and has a great user interface overall. But did you know that you can also change your background on Zoom? The feature is fairly hidden, but once you find it, changing your background will be easy breezy!
Go to the blue menu in the bottom left of your Zoom window.

To access the menu, simply click on the blue button in the bottom left of your screen. That will open up a drop down menu called “Backgrounds.” You can also access this by clicking on the image of Earth in top right corner of your screen if you prefer not to use keyboard shortcuts.
Choose a background and click “Save.”
To change your background, click the “Backgrounds” button in the Zoom toolbar. If you don’t see this button, click on View > Toolbars > and then select “Zoom.”
Next, choose a background from one of these options:
- Save as Default – This is where you can save your current background as the default for all future meetings.
- Change Background for Current Meeting – This will only apply to this specific meeting and not affect other meetings that you have set up already with Zoom.
